Mind, Body, and Spirit

One of my favorite times is spend quiet time in my yoga room doing yoga.  I am by no means a yogi or an expert but it certainly creates space in my mind.  Clearing out my brain of non essentials and focusing on my breath helps me start my day.  I often say it's like walking the dog each day.  We walk the dog and the pooch is calm and quiet for the day.  When I tend to myself for part of a day, I am calmer and more centered.    I have followed and practiced with a Youtube video for years.  Here is a link to my favorite practice -   Yoga with Adriene.

Mind

Working on my mind is always stimulating for me.  As an educator, I am always wanting to learn something new.  I sometimes have a hard time reading fiction books because nonfiction books have always been appealing to me.  I am forever striving to be the best me I can be.  I hope you enjoy the resources I have provided for you.  I hope that you keep stimulating your brain to become the best YOU you can be!

Find a great podcast to listen to.  It fills you with a purpose for the day or week.  I like to listen to Joel Osteen or  Focus on the Family. I enjoy listening to a great speaker especially when it connects me closer to God

Tania's favorite suggestions for self care

​Diffuser - I love to use my diffuser with peppermint and eucalyptus oil in it.  It really awakens me and helps me take deep cleansing breaths in the morning. Lavender in it at night is a great way to unwind from the day.

Yoga -  is a definite go to for me.   I love to watch Yoga with Adrienne on YouTube.  They are easy and really anyone can do it.  She is patient and has such a sweet soul.  I smile inside just thinking of the yoga mat and her video on. 

Walk - I also love to take a walk in nature.  I like to walk alone.  It creates good thinking time for me.  Some of my best thoughts, plans, meetings and gatherings are created on a morning walk. 

Puppy party - as we refer to at our house. Is time on the floor petting the dogs.  We have three big dogs and they really bring me joy.  They are always excited to see me no matter what time of day it is.  

Cooking - I love to cook on Sundays.  If I am cooking a big meal and chopping lots of fresh veggies ,not in any kind of rush then I am relaxed.  Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett or Diana Kral in the background is uplifting to me!
